I am so thankful for …

JESUS, and that he dies for my sins to be washed away/forgiven!

GOD, and this beautiful place he created for us to live in … the sun, moon and the stars and there amazing beauty! And all his GRACE, LOVE, and that he lives within my heart all the days of my life!

FAMILY, my husband/Randy; my son/Jamie and his wife/Jnnifer; my grandgirls/Bella and Emery, and my sweet little dog/Sadie “Mae Mae” … they are all so loving, giving, forgiving, understanding and excepting of ME! (Unconditional Love they have for me). The way those girls make my eyes light up and my heart sing!

Family, My sister/Angee that is close like a twin … we know each other so well! My brother/Ramsey that is so special to me. My aunt/Kathy (M) and uncle/Richard (W) and their spouses/Richard (M) and Judy (W) … that are more like brother and sisters than anything else. Their kids that are more like nieces and nephews than cousins … because we all grew up together! I love the fact that we have an extended family that is very large!

My best friend, Marcia of 45 years, and Susan of 30 years … how precious they are to me!

This computer that helps me keep in touch with those I love so much. Those that read this site and make comment/give feedback.

That I have a home, a job, a car, a bed, food, running water, clean drinking water, and the many opportunities available to me and that God is always with me guiding my every move!

I hope that everyone had an awesome day and had many things to be thankful for as I did. I am also thankful to know that one day I will see my dear Mamma and Pappa (they raised me as their child) and my sweet little dog, Nikki again … when I pass those pearly gates and cross over the rainbow bridge to HEAVEN, right into my Father’s arms!

Blessings to all of you

I took the girls home tonight after their sleepover last night. We had a great time! It is truly all in our mindset. My husband said that I fuss over them too much and then I get frustrated … well that I don’t want to be! So I decided this sleepover would be different this time! And it was =) it was awesome. Sometimes it has been more difficult as the first one, Bella … now 4, has the sweet, concerned, laid back personality. She could watch a video or good cartoon and be fine. Where as our 2 nd one, Emery … now 2 and a 1/2, has the more of a hyper and shorter attention span. She won’t usually do that. As she gets a little older she does it more/better but it just isn’t her personality. She is the one that is moving constantly and very strong willed. Not that this is a bad thing but an adjustment. And now we have another on the was that will be here in June (very exciting). So I have decided that I have to be the one to be more patient and laid back in my personality. I decided to let them have a little more space and opportunity to branch out in their personality. In other words I don’t need to watch their every breath and movement, they are okay as long as I am their in the room with them … they don’t need me constantly saying Bella do this or Emery lets do this. They are smart girls and I am a good grandmother so I need them to have room/opportunity to make some decisions and mistakes to learn from. I still am their to protect/guide/teach/correct/complement/assist as needed. Be the grandparent, but not the director/sargent/commander. Now with all of us more relaxed we were all stress free! I was finally in controll of having an awesome visit with both girls at the same time and we all enjoyed every moment. )Just a side note … we had fun before but moments that were more tense and exhausting).

I also can tell you the most important thing that I have every experienced was an opportunity for me to explain to Bella and Emery that even if I get disappointed, upset with a situation or behavior the one thing they can ALWAYS know in their hearts, is that Grammy loves them very much … even if they make mistakes or do something wrong. I am always in their hearts as they are in my … love is unconditional and forever!!

Amazing how God can teach us important lessons through the eyes of our children and grandchildren! Hug yours today … and make sure they know that you love them forever!!!! No matter what.

My Son and Special Surprises continued

Posted by: Gram on: February 12, 2009

When I went to Columbia, SC for a SPECIAL SURPRISE for my grandgirls , I stayed overnight with them and spent a day and a half. We got to play at the playground, walk down to the lake and let them feel the water, eat at Cracker Barrel and even went to check out a place call EDVENTURE … sort of a cool place with lots of educational possibilities. I really miss them being closer but am trying to spend as much time as possible every chance I get with them.

Did I also mention that I have been blessed with an absolutely amazing son too! And his wife is a pretty good catch as well!!

God is sooooooo God!!!!!

Hope everyone will have an awesome Valentine’s Day!!!!

Blessings to all!

It is a boy for sure! Can’t see what he looks like yet as he is laying so low and face down!! Turn over sweet little boy, I want to see what you look like … this is your Grammy, I will sing (or hum) to you =) … I sure do love those babies!!!

He let me feel him move around just a little this trip to visit. I try to always talk to him a little … I want him to know how much his Grammy loves him!!! I can’t wait!

Got to sleepover with my girls and and spend a day and a half with them … we had so much fun!

It is strange how they grow to love their Grammy so much … they are so sweet and I know that if I never do another wonderful thing … I have taught them just how BIG/gynormous their Grammy loves them!! It is such an awesome feeling to know that they love you, miss you and want to be with you!!!

Praise the Lord for all the blessings he has shared with me … he is so amazing!

They get to spend New Years Eve with their Grammy! We are going to have so much fun!!! They will be going to their new home in Columbia, SC on the 6th. I will ride over with them and stay overnight and come back the next day! It will be hard but God will provide and he will be their comforter as well …. It will be good for them all. And God will get me through this. He has promised us all that if he brings us to something, he will bring us through it! So I am keeping the faith!

I am so proud of them all!

Happy New Year Everyone!!! =)

I am just wanting to share how blessed I feel to be a grndmother to 2 of the most beautiful little girls in the world! They are so precious and I love them so much. It is hard to thin that in less than 2 months they will no longer be less than an hour away but more like 3+ hours away in Columbia, SC.

I am so thankful and blessed to see how awesome God has been in my son’s life. I have always known that he would be doing God’s will and that they could move away at any time, (am thankful it isn’t any further) but no matter what the mind knows sometimes the hearts feels differently. It is a proven fact that the heart feels a lot more deeply than the mind could ever comprehend on an intelligent level. Not sure if this makes sense to anyone but if you have a child nd grandchildren you will inderstand what I mean.

I pray many blessing over all fo them in their upcoming endeavors but I also pray that God will help me be the Mom and Grammy that I need to be in order to be supportive in their time of need. Lord knows I cannot do it alone!

I love those little girls in a way that cannot be described … as I do my son and his wife! They have been my heart song from day one. As I alway have told Bella … I will always be in your heart so we will never be far apart! And this seems to help her too! Just to know that we are always near each other is comforting! I will be thankful when little Emery can understand that too. As hard as it will be for me to let them go … it will be possibly even harder for Bella! And Emery as she gets a little older too.

I have thought of many ways to ease the stress for all and to comfort the girls to know we are always going to remain close and have not been able to come up with much. Possibly a little scrapbook for them individually of times spent together or even sending little taped messages to them … I will continue to think on this for the perfect sollution! I am open to ideas if you have any to share!

We are having another baby … well grandbaby!!! Yea!!!

I just couldn’t keep quite another minute … since no one ever reads or comments on here anyway I guess I am safe!

At first I was upset since they will be moving to Columbia SC after the first of the year. Then they told me he or she will be born here, so that makes it a little easier. A good reason for them to come and visit once a month. Then we can go their once every other month. And my dear hubby told me I could fly for a weekend visit once every other month as well. That will help a lot. I work so much during Bridal Christmas … jan/feb/march so I might have to save up for closer to the due date which is right around their anniversary and that makes it around ours too as they got married 2 days after us (years later of course).

God is so good!!! Have a great night … gotta get some sleep as I get those precious girls tomorrow from noon until late Monday night! Lord please bless this special time for us together … it will be awhile before we get to do that again. =) I am so excited!

My Sweet Girls

I wanted to add a few pics that were taken from the Disney on Ice show … kids of any age love excitement and things that are new to them. It was kind of like watching someone do magic tricks and wondering “How on earth did they do that?” Seeing their faces

Taking the girls to see Disney on Ice, Worlds of Fantasy!

I don’t know what seemed the best watching my son watch his girls and their faces/reactions, watching them myself, or just knowing I amde 2 little girls, their Daddy and Mommy very happy with such a special treat! It does feel so good to do nice things for others! I ahve wanted to do a first with them and see their faces and reactions for some time and I finally did! It was  ertainly worth the wait.

Emery watched in awe and said “Its amazing” as she saw the Princess Ariel beginning, as well as the Tinkerbell ending, and of course the parts with Mickey and Minnie too! As did Bella … watching them both just stare in amazement was so wonderful! I will never forget it and suggest if you have that opportunity … do it!

The girls spent the might with Grammy and Grandy the night before the show and they went right to sleep as they couldn’t wait for the next day to get here so we could go for their SPECIAL SURPRISE!

The important things in life are the oh so simple ones … family time!
